La fel ca în fiecare an înainte de WrestleMania, cu o zi înainte de cel mai mare show din wrestling, WWE a organizat ceremonia Hall of Fame. La eveniment au participat toate superstarurile autohtone, dar şi legendele companiei.
Spectacolul de pe covorul roşu a fost însă umbrit de un incident nefericit. În timpul discursului lui Bret Hart, cel care a fost introdus în Hall of Fame ca membru al "The Hart Foundation" alături de cumnatul său, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, un fan a invadat ringul şi l-a atacat pe "The Hitman", sub privrile îngrozite ale nepoatei acestuia, Natalya.
WWE Network a întrerupt transmisiunea imediat după momentul atacului, iar cadrul a fost mutat de pe zona ringului. Imagini filmate de alţi spectatori aflaţi în arenă au luat cu asalt internetul. Atacatorul a fost arestat. Numele acestuia este Zach Madsen, un amator al MMA-ului, unde are un palmares de două victorii şi o înfrângere.
